Yesterday, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Oliver, Mr. Jansheski, and I got all of the student iPads cataloged and assigned to students! That means that every incoming Harvey-Swanson student has an iPad with their name on it here waiting for school to start. It was a lot of work, but it's going to be worth it to get those iPads in the hands of students as quickly as possible. We've been really doing some extensive research about the best ways to enhance and innovate student learning with the iPads. If you're not sure what to expect from the iPad in the classroom check out the official Apple page for some information about the possibilities here.
I've been in with a lot of teachers already this summer (you may have seen us in the Citizen) and we're trying to make sure that the year gets kicked off in a great way. Remember tomorrow night is popsicles with the principal for Harvey-Swanson, and Oakwood's night has been rescheduled for August 27th. I can't wait to meet some of my students who will be in my class next year, and say hello to those students I already know.
